TAZO is teaming up with award-winning cafe owner, entrepreneur, producer and actress Issa Rae to launch The TAZO Cafe Collective: a network celebrating and supporting independent cafes.
Participating cafes will receive financial and marketing support, recipe inspiration, and much more.

8 oz TAZO Iced Passion Tea Concentrate
2 oz lime syrup
1 tbsp fresh grated cucumber
4 mint leaves (hand-torn)
Serve over ice

TAZO’s founding partner Hilltop is the place for dreamers and doers. Founded by two LA natives, Yonnie Hagos and Ajay Relan in 2018, they’ve recently opened their fourth location in the area and Issa Rae joined as a partner. They’re serving quality ingredients and good vibes in an environment conducive to creativity, community, and connection.
Café X: By Any Beans Necessary is a mother and daughter owned cooperative coffee shop with a vision for generational wealth building in the Black community. Built and financed from the ground up, Café X develops partnerships with community-based organizations, sustains creative and artistic projects, and develops the next generation of leaders to improve the quality of life in our communities – one cup at a time.
Hibiscus Brew is a wellness nutrition café born out of the pandemic that seeks to bring a slice of the Caribbean to Brooklyn with our signature hibiscus beverage. We believe that food is a way to bring people of all types together to laugh, share, and nourish each other. Owned by Jamaican-American Allison Dunn, Hibiscus Brew provides food and community to Brooklyn inspired by our Caribbean roots.
BouNom is a café and bakery where everything is lovingly made from scratch, by hand, daily. Owner and founder, Khamla Vorasane, is a self-taught pastry chef who ensures that everyone who comes into the cafe is treated like family. The community, in turn, has shown its love for BouNom by voting it “Best Bakery” every year since its founding in 2020. We look forward to continuing to serve our community like family, with one delectable pastry at a time.
Casaroma Cafe is a specialty coffee shop in New Rochelle, NY that focuses on culture, community and collaboration. Founded by Yaretsy Flores, Kevin Rucker and Donnell Culver, Casaroma was created as a safe space for folks to gather, be accepted, and celebrated. Newly opened this year, the cafe strives to serve their community in more ways than one.
Cuppa Eden, an independently owned, faith-based oasis. Enjoy crafted drinks and chef-inspired bites in our garden heaven. Proudly black-owned, we bring a unique vibe to every sip and bite. Fresh, tasty, and a touch of something divine. A place for community and good vibes.
Queen Tea Party strives to take guests on a trip to Paris without the flight! We are reminiscent of a vintage tea room with a modern twist. Our chef curated menu has delectable bites, and delicious drinks - all in a beautifully pink floral ambiance.
Kinfolx is a modern-day public square. Kinfolx is a community that is centered on the fundamental value of our shared humanity. We hope to be a home away from home and a refuge for those from all backgrounds and a hub for diverse communities to connect and come together.
Founded by Howard University students, BVP Coffee Co. is a vehicle for change. Our premium products bring communities together through stories of global travel, entrepreneurship, and collaboration. In our mission to invest in the next generation, we donate 1% of sales to support students attending Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs).
Founded in 2006, 45 South Cafe, a cherished coffeehouse, cafe, and wine bar in Downtown Historic Norcross, recently came under the ownership of Ralph and Monica White, a dedicated husband and wife team. This local favorite, known for its relaxing atmosphere, invites patrons to leave the daily rush at the door. Enjoy a freshly brewed coffee or a savory quiche, and find tranquility working on the serene back patio. It's an ideal spot for gathering with friends, family, or colleagues.
El Taller Bookstore Cafe in Lawrence, MA, is guided by its name, “The Workshop,” a cafe, bookstore, and home away from home. Since 2012, El Taller has been fueled by great coffee, delicious food, and creative ideas. Family-owned, father-and-son duo Antonio and Eric work together to curate a healthy menu inspired by Antonio's hometown, Mexico City.
